The Amron Treatment Hood's special design allows the patient to recline comfortably. The location of the multiple function supply and exhaust ports creates an optimum gas flow pattern. The Amron Hood automatically defogs the optical quality window and provides a constant flow of fresh gas to the patient and reduces the CO2 level within the hood. This automatically cools the patients face and reduces the ambient noise within the hood

The autoclavable neck ring is the central mounting base for all of the support components. The neck ring incorporates a o-ring which results in a positive gas tight seal between the hood ring and neck ring. This design allows the user easy and secure coupling of the two components by simply pressing both rings together. The user can visually see that both rings are secure. The neck ring has a built-in multipurpose access port which can be used for many things including but not limited to: gas analysis, humidity and temperature reading, fluid administration devices and/or entertainment option. The neck ring also accommodates an Amron Entertainment System with pneumatic headset.

The removable neck seal. features an integrated o-ring seal that allows for easy installation or removal from the neck ring. The natural latex neck seal has numbered guide lines which aid in the trimming process for accurate patient neck sizing. The comfortable Amron Torso Seal (optional) allows the Amron Hood to be used by patients who have undergone tracheotomies or have difficulty wearing a neck seal. The Patient Entertainment set incorporates a channel selector switch for choosing a desired program. Each user is able to listen to their choice of audio such as music, TV or video. The pneumatic headset is attached to a quick disconnect that has a built in two way shut off valve located on the neck ring. This unique module incorporates a sealed electrical device that transfers the sound waves pneumatically to the user via the headset. Perfectly safe for the chamber environment.

Amron Torso Seal

The optional 8891-006 Amron Torso Seal is a replacement to the standard neckseal for those patients who have difficulty wearing a neckseal, have reaction to latex materials against their skin, or who have undergone tracheotomies. The Torso Seal is a clear vinyl flange which is attached to a flexible rubber collar with an integrated o-ring. The vinyl flange drapes evenly over the shoulders, regardless of the patients size. The flange is easily trimmed to the proper width and taped directly to the skin providing an excellent seal without puckers or gaps. The rubber collar within the center of the flange mates directly to the 8891-001 neckring for a leak free seal. The Torso Seal is easily mated to the Amron Treatment Hood without modifications and maintains all of the features of allowing a patient to recline, use the optional entertainment system and route the hoses to the most confortable position for the patient.
