SubSea Corrosion Equipment

The new Buckley’s Bathycorrometer (RB-6000) has been totally re-designed to comply with current CE marking regulations but retains the basic features of the Roxby model. The new modem electronics improve its reliability and stability. The Bathycorrometer is a diver held corrosion voltmeter and can be used in a range of sub-sea corrosion monitoring applications. It is used to measure the corrosion potential of immersed structures versus its own internal silver/silver chloride electrode. The level of cathodic protection afforded to a structure can also be determined.

The Bathycorrometer can be used as part of a planned inspection programmed to check the efficiency of cathodic protection systems on:

• Production and drilling platforms
• Ships’ Hulls
• Jetties
• Sub-sea pipelines
